Diplomová práce se pokouší na základě analýzy tří žánrově různých literárních děl prokázat ústřední literární motiv panovníka-světce v literární produkci Karla IV. Práce navíc zkoumá vliv svatováclavské legendistické tradice při autostylizaci Karla IV. do role dědice svatého Václava, a proto konfrontuje vybrané literární památky z pera Karla IV. s tradičními motivy svatováclavských legend. The Master-Theses try to demonstrate central literatury motive „ Monarch and Saint“ in the literary production from the King and Emperor Karel IV. on the base of interpretation of three different Karls works. The Theses probe the influence of the saint-wenzel´s literary tradition.
