The use of project management methods (case study)

Abstract:

Cílem této práce je s využitím vybraných metod projektového řízení analyzovat průběh vybraného projektu a posoudit jeho efektivnost. Případová studie se zabývá projektem výstavby nového energetického bloku v jedné české elektrárně, hodnocením jeho plánu a následné realizace. S využitím metod projektového managementu bylo zjištěno, že společnost v době plánování nedostatečně naplánovala délku trvání některých činností a po připomínkovém auditu dodavatele podcenila jeho následnou kontrolu. V návrhové části práce je doporučeno společnosti zavést metodu Earned Value Analysis.

Abstract:

This master's thesis focuses on the analysis of the development of the chosen project, using chosen methods of project management, and on evaluation of its effectiveness. The case study deals with the project for the construction of new energetic part in the Czech power plant, the assessment of its plan and the following implementation. Using methods of project management, it was discovered that the company in planning time insufficiently planned duration of some activities and after provider's commented audit underestimated the control. In the proposal section of the thesis there is recommended to the company to implement the Earned Values Analysis method.
