The abolition of serfdom and its influence on the change of structure of Habsburg monarchy

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá otázkou zrušení poddanství a jeho vlivu na změnu struktury habsburské monarchie a to jak po stránce hospodářské, tak po stránce právní. Poukazuje na jednotlivá období před zrušením poddanství a zejména po něm, popisuje politickou sféru v těchto obdobích a srovnává jednotlivé poznatky, které vykreslují závěrečný odraz doby. Práce také odkrývá možnost působení politického vývoje na současnou politickou situaci. Do hloubky jsou rozebrána jednotlivá průmyslová odvětví, na kterých je poukázán vliv zrušení poddanství na jejich vývoj. Zároveň se ukazuje vliv na terciární sféru a zemědělství s ohledem následného přechodu ke kapitalismu. Práce také popisuje další významné události jako zrušení roboty, průmyslovou revoluci, zároveň průmyslovou krizi a příchod neoabsolutismu. Celkově lze shrnout význam ve zpracování určité historické osnovy a její souvislost s formováním tehdejší i současné společnosti.

Abstract:

The work deals with the abolition of serfdom and its influence on the change of structure of Habsburg monarchy as far as the economical and legal aspects are concerned. It covers particular time periods before and mainly after the abolition, describes political atmosphere then and compares individual observations depicting the final reflection of that period. The work also reveals potential interdependence between political development and contemporary political situation. Particular branches of industry are described in details, which enables the author to show how the abolition influenced their development. At the same time we can observe a strong influnce on the tertiary sector and agriculture with respect to the following transit towards capitalism. The work also describes important events like the abolition of corvee, industrial revolution, industrial depression and the start of neoabsolutism. We can summarize it by saying that the author tried to depict a particular historical schema with respect to both historical and modern social aspects.
