The ethnography of criminalist and myth of detective

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je etnografií kriminalistické každodennosti v kontrastu k představám, které jsou produkovány a formovány zejména prostřednictvím produkce masmédií.Teoretická část práce je zaměřena na fenomén masmédií, dále je zde věnována pozornost kriminalistice, její historii a metodám v kontextu moci, justice a práva.Výzkumná část je zaměřena na práci kriminalistů, na to jak ji sami aktéři vnímají a hodnotí. V závěru práce jsou určitým způsobem zhodnocena zjištění v kontextu mediálně vytvářených stereotypů.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis deals with the ethnography of criminalistic everydayness as opposed to the concepts produced and formulated particularly by the mass media production. The theoretical part of this thesis focuses on the phenomenon of mass media; it also deals with criminalistics and its history and methodology with respect to authority, justice and law. The research focuses on the everyday criminalistic routine as it is perceived and evaluated by its very participants. The final part of the thesis evaluates the results of the research in relation to the media-created stereotypes.
