Sixteen Arhats in Tibetan Buddhism
Abstract:
Práce se zabývá studiem souboru tibetské ikonografie nazývané šestnáct či osmnáct arhatů. Tento soubor má významnou úlohu ve votivním životě praktikujících tibetských a velmi často i čínských buddhistů. Práce dále zkoumá jeho vývoj a zasazení v tibetském, a potažmo i čínském, buddhismu.
Abstract:
Thesis deals with a set of sixteen or eighteen arhats. This set has a significant role in religious life of Tibetan and very often also Chinese Buddhists. Thesis analysis its development and place in Tibetan and Chinese Buddhism.
