Fytohormony mohou různými způsoby ovlivňovat vývoj rostlin. Auxiny a cytokininy patří mezi klíčové faktory během ontogeneze rostlin. Auxin podporuje dělení buněk za účelem zvětšování oblasti kořenového meristému. Naopak cytokininy urychlují diferenciaci buněk, a tak zmenšují velikost meristému. Abstract:
Phytohormones regulate plant development in many ways. Auxin and cytokinin are known to be crucial for plant morphogenesis. Auxin promotes cell division to increase root apical meristem size. On the other hand, cytokinins function here to negatively regulate the meristem size by enhancing cell differentiation.
