Aspects of management of the Apríles Music Festival

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá managementem kulturní události v otevřeném prostoru, zaměřuje se na hudební festivaly. Zkoumá vývoj konceptu festivalů populární hudby od jeho vzniku a mapuje akce tohoto typu v České republice. Je založena na osobní zkušenosti autorky s organizací jednoho z festivalů a popisuje jednotlivé aspekty managementu od konceptu události až k její realizaci. Upozorňuje na úskalí, která se při organizaci vyskytují a navrhuje řešení krizových situací. Výstupem práce je ucelený přehled základních úkolů, nutných k úspěšné organizaci festivalu a plán postupu pro další ročník.

Abstract:

The work deals with the management of cultural events in the open air, and focuses on music festivals. It examines the development of the concept of popular music festivals since their beginning and maps festivals in the Czech Republic. It is based on the personal experience of the author with the organization of the festival, and describes various aspects of event management from concept to its realization. Points out the difficulties that occur in the organization, and proposes a solution of crisis situations. Outcome of this work is a comprehensive overview of the basic tasks needed for successful organization of the festival and plan of action for the next year.
