Tato diplomová práce se zabývá čtyřmi sbírkami krátkých povídek od Thomase Hardyho. V popředí zájmu stojí ženské postavy a jejich způsob vnímání společenských konvencí a sexuality v pozdní Viktoriánské éře.Abstract:
This thesis deals with four volumes of short fiction written by Thomas Hardy. The negotiation of women´s sexuality and their perception of social conventions in the late Victorian period are brought into focus.
