Analysis of employment and unemployment in a particular region or municipality

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou zaměstnanosti a nezaměstnanosti v obci Jesenice u Prahy. Práce obsahuje dvě části, a to teoretickou a praktickou. Teoretická část shrnuje a definuje základní pojmy a charakteristiky, které vstupují do procesu zaměstnanosti. Popisuje trh práce, jeho segmentaci, charakteristiku a popisuje negativní situace, které existují na trhu práce. V práci jsou rozebrány druhy nezaměstnanosti, její fáze, státní politika zaměstnanosti a také důsledky nezaměstnanosti. Praktická část obsahuje vyhodnocení zaměstnanosti v obci Jesenici u Prahy, a to z dostupných veřejných dat, primárně z Úřadu práce, Českého statistického úřadu a vyhodnocení vlastního dotazníkového šetření. V závěru se práce zabývá myšlenkou či doporučením pro suburbální obce stejného typu.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of employment and unemployment in the town of Jesenice u Prahy. The thesis contains two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part summarizes and defines the basic concepts and characteristics that enter the employment process. It describes the labour market, how it’s perceived, segmentation, characteristics and describes the negative situations we see in the labour market. The thesis analyses types of unemployment, its phases, governmental employment policy and consequences of unemployment. The practical part contains an evaluation of employment in Jesenice u Prahy from available public data, primarily from the Labour Office, the Czech Statistical Office and the evaluation of the questionnaire survey in the municipality conducted accordingly. In conclusion, the thesis deals with the idea or recommendations for suburban communities of the same type.
