E-mobility in China

Abstract:

Elektromobilita představuje jeden z velkých trendů druhé a třetí dekády 21. století. Elektrická vozidla se totiž pokládají za součást řešení probíhající klimatické krize. Velikost pozitivního dopadu této transformace dopravního sektoru bude ovšem záležet na složení globálního energetického mixu sloužícího pro výrobu elektrické energie. Rozvoj elektromobility neprobíhá ve všech částech světa rovnoměrně. Rychlost, s jakou jsou elektromobily v jednotlivých zemích ze strany obyvatel přijímány, determinuje soubor mnoha různých aspektů. Cílem této diplomové práce je zhodnotit, zda Čína může dosáhnout 40% podílu elektromobilů na celkových prodejích automobilů v roce 2030. Práce má dále za cíl identifikovat možné překážky, které by tomuto plánu Číny mohly zabránit a také posoudit postavení čínských výrobců elektromobilů na globálním trhu. K dosažení cíle jsou nejprve obecně analyzovány faktory, které rozvoj elektromobility ovlivňují. Následně práce tyto jednotlivé faktory zkoumá právě na případu Číny.

Abstract:

E-mobility represents an important and significant trend of the 21st century. Electric vehicles are considered to be one of the tools for mitigation the ongoing climate change. However, the positive impact connected with deployment of electric vehicles, will depend on global energy mix of the electricity generation as a mean how to power them. The expansion of electric vehicles is not under way at the same pace in all parts of the world. That pace is determined by plenty of factors. The aim of this diploma thesis is to weigh up if China can achieve a 40 % electric vehicle´s share on total sales of vehicles by 2030. Another goal of the thesis is to identify potential obstacles, which could hinder the country from reaching this target. Moreover, position of the Chinese electric vehicle makers on the global market is being assessed. In order to fulfil the objective of the thesis, factors having an influence in general on expansion of the electric vehicles are first identified. These factors are then investigated and reviewed right on China`s example.
