Hlavním cílem této bakalářské práce je shrnout s použitím dostupné literatury starší i nové poznatky o hormonu melatoninu v organismu savců. Formou přehledového článku je popsána struktura a syntéza melatoninu a to jak v CNS, tak i v ostaních orgánech, molekulární mechanismy působení, melatoninové receptory i jejich distribuce v organismu. The main goal of this bachelor thesis is to summarize well-known and also new information about hormone melatonin in organism of mammals with the support of available literature. In the form of an overview article we decribed the structure and synthesis of melatonin not only in CNS but also in other organs, molecular mechanisms of functioning, melatonin receptors and their distributions in organs. …more
