Testování ochranných vlastností nátěrových hmot s obsahem zinku, vodivých polymerů a vybraných kovových pigmentů

Testing the protective properties of coatings containing zinc, conductive polymers and selected metal pigments

Abstract:

V rámci této bakalářské práce byla studována problematika vlivu vybraných pigmentů (polyanilinová sůl, hliník, hořčík), na mechanické vlastnosti a antikorozní účinnost zinkem pigmentovaných nátěrových systémů na bázi rozpouštědlového typu epoxyesterové pryskyřice. Zinkem pigmentované nátěrové hmoty jsou považovány za jeden z nejúčinnějších způsobů protikorozní ochrany. Vzhledem k ekonomickým a ekologickým důvodům, je však žádoucí vyvinout nátěrové systémy, které by snížily obsah zinku a přitom poskytovaly srovnatelnou, ne-li lepší ochranu proti korozi. Byly naformulovány, připraveny a otestovány inovativní nátěrové hmoty se sníženým obsahem zinku, s obsahem vodivým polymerem a dalších vhodných kovových pigmentů (hořčík a hliník) pro posílení ochranného mechanismu působení. U všech pigmentů byla stanovena jejich hustota a olejové číslo, z nichž byla následně vypočtena kritická objemová koncentrace, také bylo sledováno pH a měrná elektrická vodivost roztoků pigmentů v závislosti na čase. Organické povlaky byly aplikovány na skleněné a ocelové panely. Následně u nich byly testovány jejich fyzikálně-mechanické vlastnosti, jako je odolnost organického povlaků vůči ohybu, úderu, vrypu, hloubení a byla také stanovena přilnavost organického povlaku mřížkovou metodou. Ocelové panely, opatřeny organickými povlaky, byly podrobeny zrychleným korozním zkouškám, při nichž byla sledována jejich antikorozní účinnost. Lze konstatovat, že práce zaměřená na výrobu a testování nátěrových hmot s definovaným složením pro protikorozní ochranu se sníženým obsahem zinku přinesla řadu pozitivních výsledků a přínosů. Nové formulace nátěrů, obsahující kombinaci zinku, hliníku, hořčíku a vodivého polymeru polyanilinové soli, byly úspěšně vyvinuty a aplikovány. Výsledky naznačují, že nové formulace nátěrů mají potenciál poskytnout srovnatelnou, ne-li lepší ochranu než tradiční nátěry s vyšším obsahem zinku.

Abstract:

In this bachelor thesis the influence of selected pigments (polyaniline salt, aluminium, magnesium) on the mechanical properties and corrosion protection effectiveness of zinc pigmented coating systems based on solvent type epoxy ester resin was studied. Zinc pigmented coatings are considered to be one of the most effective methods of corrosion protection. However, for economic and environmental reasons, it is desirable to develop coating systems that reduce the zinc content while providing comparable, if not better, corrosion protection. Innovative zinc-reduced coatings containing conductive polymers and other suitable metal pigments (magnesium and aluminium) have been formulated, prepared and tested to enhance the protective mechanism of action. The density and oil number of all pigments were determined, from which the critical bulk concentration was subsequently calculated; the pH and specific electrical conductivity of the pigment solutions were also monitored as a function of time. Organic coatings were applied to glass and steel panels. Subsequently, their physico-mechanical properties such as the resistance of the organic coatings to bending, impact, indentation, pitting were tested and the adhesion of the organic coating was also determined by the grid method. The steel panels, coated with organic coatings, were subjected to accelerated corrosion tests to observe their anticorrosion performance. It can be concluded that the work aimed at producing and testing coatings with defined formulations for corrosion protection with reduced zinc content has produced a number of positive results and benefits. New coating formulations containing a combination of zinc, aluminium, magnesium and a conductive polymer polyaniline salt have been successfully developed and applied. The results indicate that the new coating formulations have the potential to provide comparable, if not better, protection than traditional coatings with higher zinc content.
