Olanzapin je derivát thienobenzodiazepinu a jako účinné antipsychotikum se užívá k léčbě psychotických onemocnění, například schizofrenie. Olanzapin se vykazuje velmi vysokou afinitou k dopaminergním a serotoninergním receptorům, proto je podáván ve velmi nízkých dávkách – celková denní dávka je obvykle 5–20 mg. Abstract:
Olanzapine is a derivative of thienobenzodiazepine, and it is used as an effective antipsychotic to treat psychotic disorders such as schizophrenia. Olanzapine has a very high affinity for dopaminergic and serotonergic receptors, therefore it is given in very low doses - the total daily dose is usually 5-20 mg.
