Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zaměřuje na problematiku burzovně obchodovaných fondů "Exchange Traded Funds" (ETF). Cílem této práce je charakterizovat problematiku ETF a porovnat ji s dalšími dostupnými možnostmi investic jako jsou otevřené podílové fondy (OPF), akcie nebo kryptoměny. Teoretická část práce se věnuje základní charakteristice ETF, vysvětluje jejich hlavní rysy a výhody, jako jsou nákladovost, výkonnost, likvidita a diverzifikace. Dále práce pojednává o možných metodách investování do ETF, od přímého nákupu na burze, po využití služeb finančních poradců a online investičních platforem. Součástí práce je metodika pro srovnání ETF s dalšími investičními nástroji. Praktická část aplikuje tuto metodiku na konkrétní investiční nástroje a poskytuje komparativní analýzu, která zdůrazňuje výhody ETF pro různé typy investorů. Práce odpovídá na vybrané otázky týkající se principů investování, různých konstrukcí ETF, rizik, možností nákupu a dalších principů souvisejících s touto problematikou. Srovnáno je celkem 15 vybraných jednotlivých nástrojů s různým zaměřením a typem.

Abstract:

This master's thesis focuses on the issue of "Exchange Traded Funds" (ETF). This work aims to characterize the issue of ETFs and compare them with other available investment options such as open mutual funds (OPF), stocks, or cryptocurrencies. The theoretical part of the work is devoted to the basic characteristics of ETFs, explaining their main features and advantages, such as cost, performance, liquidity, and diversification. Furthermore, the thesis discusses possible methods of investing in ETFs, from direct purchases on the stock exchange to the use of financial advisors and online investment platforms. Part of the work is a methodology for comparing ETFs with other investment instruments. The practical part applies this methodology to specific investment instruments and provides a comparative analysis that highlights the benefits of ETFs for different types of investors. The thesis answers selected questions regarding the principles of investing, various ETF constructions, risks, purchase options, and other principles related to this issue. A total of 15 selected individual tools with different focus and type are compared.
