Alcohol consumption and its association with emotional intelligence in Generation Z

Anotace:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá souvislostí konzumace alkoholu a emoční inteligence generace Z. Teoretická část nejprve definuje samotné emoce. Následně se věnuje emoční inteligenci, a vymezuje její hlavní modely. Dále se práce zabývá alkoholovou závislostí, kterou propojuje s emocemi, emoční inteligencí, a nakonec samotnou generací Z. Empirická část práce seznamuje s výzkumnou strategií a s výsledky kvantitativního výzkumného šetření se zaměřením na hodnoty emoční inteligence jako vlastnosti a hodnoty rizikové konzumace alkoholu u zástupců generace Z s probíhajícím nebo dokončeným vysokoškolským vzdělaním se zaměřením na ekonomii a management.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the relationship between alcohol consumption and emotional intelligence of Generation Z. The theoretical part first defines emotions themselves. It then discusses emotional intelligence, and defines its main models. Next, the thesis examines alcohol dependence, which it links to emotions, emotional intelligence, and finally Generation Z itself. The empirical part of the thesis introduces the research strategy and the results of a quantitative research investigation focusing on the values of trait emotional intelligence and the values of risky alcohol consumption among members of Generation Z with ongoing or completed university education with a focus on economics and management.
