Corporate culture of teal organizations and its impact on business performance in the selected company

Abstract:

Tyrkysové organizace využívající sebeřízení, celistvost a evoluční cíle jako hlavní pilíře jsou považovány za současný fenomén v řízení lidí. Navzdory svobodné firemní kultuře a decentralizovanému managementu se tyto firmy vyznačují skvělými výsledky a vysokou produktivitou. Dle současného poznání pramení efektivita a konkurenceschopnost firem s tyrkysovým modelem především z motivace zaměstnanců, která je uplatňována možností jejich seberealizace a participace. Cílem práce je zhodnotit vliv firemní kultury na organizační výkonnost ve vybrané tyrkysové organizaci. Diagnostika současného stavu firemní kultury definuje pomocí sekundárních dat vybrané společnosti implementaci tyrkysových principů včetně jednotlivých organizačních procesů. Za účelem zjišťování vlivu firemní kultury na organizační výkonnost práce využívá model D. R. Denisona, u kterého probíhá sběr primárních dat pomocí standardizovaného dotazníku na firemní kulturu. Ten dává do souvislosti sílu 4 kulturních rysů a 12 ukazatelů determinující organizační výkonnost. Za pomocí sekundárních dat je dále zpracována i analýza poměrových ukazatelů, které jsou porovnávány v období před a po zavedení tohoto modelu. Výsledky práce identifikují slabé stránky jednotlivých kulturních rysů a ukazatelů, na které navazuje stanovení návrhů změn a doporučení. Ty zvolená organizace využije zejména při dalším rozvoji firemní kultury. Přidanou hodnotou práce je zaznamenání know-how fungujících prvků kultury tyrkysové organizace, čímž může inspirovat například vlastníky jiných společností při uvažování o implementaci tohoto modelu se svobodnou firemní kulturou a sebeřízením.

Abstract:

Teal organizations using self-management, integrity and evolutionary goals as main pillars are considered a current phenomenon in people management. Despite the free corporate culture and decentralized management, these companies are characterized by excellent results and high productivity. According to current knowledge, the efficiency and competitiveness of teal organizations stems primarily from the motivation of employees, which is applied through the possibility of their self-realization and participation. The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to evaluate the influence of corporate culture on organizational performance in a selected teal organization. Diagnostics of the current state of corporate culture defines, using secondary data of the selected company, the implementation of teal principles, including individual organizational processes. In order to determine the influence of corporate culture on organizational performance, the D. R. Denison model is used, in which primary data is collected using a standardized questionnaire on corporate culture. It relates the strength of 4 cultural traits and 12 indicators determining organizational performance. Using secondary data, an analysis of the ratio indicators is also done and compared in the period before and after the introduction of the model. The results of the thesis identify the weaknesses in individual cultural traits and indicators, followed by the determination of proposals for changes and recommendations. These findings will be used by the organization in further development of the corporate culture. The added value of the thesis is the recording of the know-how of the functioning elements of the teal organizational culture, which can inspire, for example, owners of other companies when considering the implementation of this model with a free corporate culture and self-management.
