Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá zavedením různých výukových metod anglického jazyka na středních odborných učilištích. První část práce sestává z definic základních termínů (metoda, metodologie, procedura, techniky a design) a jejich vzájemného vztahu. Rovněž obsahuje základ pro tvorbu plánů lekcí, materiálů a výzkumné části práce. Konkrétněji jsou popsány teoretické základy, role učitele a studentů, užívání cílového jazyka a mateřského jazyka a principy a techniky s cílem poskytnout dostatečné uvedení do těchto metod, aby byly uspokojivým základem pro výzkumnou část práce. Metodologie výzkumu popisuje, jak byl proveden vlastní výzkum a uvádí téma lekcí. Ve třetí části, Výzkum, byly aplikovány techniky sebereflexe učitele, kvantitativního jakožto i kvalitativního výzkumu a byly zhodnoceny výstupy dat jednotlivých metod. Metody byly také porovnány navzájem mezi sebou a předpoklady vycházející z teoretického výzkumu byly srovnány s daty z výzkumu praktického. Práce rovněž obsahuje rozsáhlou přílohu, kde je možno nahlédnout do plánů lekcí, přepisů rozhovorů, dotazníků a dat z dotazníků. Výsledky ukázaly, že nejlépe vnímaná metoda byla komunikační učení jazyka, ačkoliv techniky sugestopedie byly vnímány nejlépe. Omezení pojmu “metoda” byla rovněž zvážena.

Abstract:

This work deals with the implementation of different teaching methods at secondary vocational schools and the students’ attitude toward the different methods. The first part consists of the definitions of some key methodology terminology (method, methodology, procedures, techniques and design), their relationship and the basis for the production of lesson plans, materials and the research part of the thesis. More specifically, theoretical background, roles and responsibilities of a teacher and students, use of target language and source language and principles and techniques are described to provide the basic context for the research part of the thesis. The research methodology part describes how the actual research was carried out and introduces the topic of the lessons. In the third part, The Research, teacher’s reflection and both quantitative and qualitative research techniques have been applied and the outputs of individual methods have been assessed. The methods have also been contrasted to each other and the anticipation based on theoretical research was compared to the practical implementation research data. The thesis includes an extensive appendix where the lesson plans, interviews, questionnaires and questionnaires data can be found. The best perceived method was communicative language teaching, although the best received techniques were those of dessugestopedia. The limitations of the term method have also been considered.
