Abstract:
This Master's thesis focuses on the phenomenon of identity formation and its depiction in the autobiographical stories of the American Indian author Zitkala-Ša, namely American Indian Stories and Old Indian Legends, first published in 1921. The thesis introduces the author, her autobiographical work and then focuses on the process, which the author had to g through on her way to defining her true Native …more
