Constantine the Great and Christianity
Abstract:
Práce nejprve mapuje průběh pronásledování křesťanů na území Římské říše od počátku křesťanství až po 4. století. Poté se zaměřuje na postavu císaře Konstantina Velikého, kdy nejprve popisuje jeho postup k moci a posléze i jeho způsob vlády a jednotlivé reformy. V závěru práce dochází ke kompilaci jejích předešlých částí, kdy je kladen důraz na spojení postavy císaře Konstantina se křesťanstvím.
Abstract:
This thesis at first maps the progress of the persecution of Christians in the Roman Empire since the beginning of Christianity until the 4th century. Than it focuses on the figure of the emperor Constantine the Great. First it describes his approach to power and later his form of governing and reforms.
