Bakalářská práce se zabývá komunikační schopností u žáka s autismem a přidruženým mentálním postižením. Zahrnuje tři kapitoly, dvě teoretické a jednu praktickou obsahující výzkumné šetření. V teoretické části v první kapitole se pojednává o pervazivních vývojových poruchách, konkrétněji o autismu a jeho etiologii, projevech, diagnostice a přidruženému mentálnímu postižení.
