Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se skládá z analýzy klíčových makroekonomických ukazatelů, které ovlivnily odlišný ekonomický vývoj v České republice a Španělsku, jako je hrubý domácí produkt (dále označován pod zkratkou HDP), inflace, nezaměstnanost, veřejný a zahraniční dluh. Hlavním cílem této práce je poskytnout platný nástroj k pochopení těchto rozdílů mezi uvedenými zeměmi v období od roku 2009 do roku 2018. Čtením této práce souhlasíme s tím, že česká ekonomika prosperuje. Hlavním charakteristickým rysem české ekonomiky, ve sledovaném období, je nízká míra nezaměstnanosti, nejnižší z evropských zemí. To vyvolává řadu pozitivních důsledků pro zemi. Příjmy se každoročně zvyšují díky růstu mezd. Zvýšení mezd a zaměstnanosti udrží spotřebu domácností a vnitřní poptávku na vysoké úrovni. Soukromé investice jsou silné, místní i zahraniční. Nedostatek pracovních sil však brzdí ještě vyšší růst. Na druhou stranu Španělsko procházelo od krize procesem těžkého zotavení, které stále trvá. Během analyzovaných prvních let došlo ke strukturálním reformám s cílem snížit nezaměstnanost, získat konkurenceschopnost a produktivitu, snížit její vnější dluh, zvýšit objem vývozu a obnovit stabilní úroveň vnitřní spotřeby. V tomto procesu hrají pozitivní roli nízké úrokové sazby. HDP na obyvatele je v současné době v obou zemích velmi podobný, ačkoli v osledním desetiletí zažily různou úroveň rozvoje.

Abstract:

This master thesis consists of an analysis of the key macroeconomic indicators which influenced a different economic development in the Czech Republic and Spain, such as GDP, inflation, unemployment, or public and external debt. The main goal of this work is to give to the reader a valid tool to understand these differences between the mentioned countries during the period from 2009 to 2018. Through the reading of this work, we agree that the Czech economy is thriving. The main remark of the Czech economy is its low unemployment rate, the lowest among the European countries. This is triggering a series of positive consequences to the country. Income increases yearly thanks to wages growth. Increasing wages and employment will keep household consumption and internal demand high. Private investment is strong, both local and foreign. However, labour shortages are hampering an even higher growth. Spain had a difficult recovery since the crisis, from which it is still recovering. Structural reforms took place during the first years analysed, with the purpose of lowering the unemployment, gaining competitiveness and productivity, reduce its external debt, increase the volume of exports and recover stable levels of internal consumption. Low interest rates play a positive role in this process. GDP per capita is nowadays very similar in both countries, although they have experienced a diverse development level during the last decade.
