Analysis of mental maps formed by children of elementary schools with regard to the child's age

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je seznámit čtenáře s problematikou mentálních map, zhodnotit, porovnat a analyzovat získané vzorky, a také zjistit, zda a do jaké míry má věk vliv na kvalitu a přesnost vytvořených mentálních map. Dále se věnuji použitým značkám a jejich grafické podobě, následnému vytvoření nového dělení značek, upřesnění problémových zařazení a názorným ukázkám. Zabývám se také použitými metodami generalizace, směrem, orientací a pohledem mapy. Na závěr též upozorňuji na několik zajímavostí, které je na kresbách možné najít.

Abstract:

The objective of this thesis is to introduce readers with issues of the mental maps, evaluate, compare and analyze the collected samples and find out whether and to what extent should effect of the age on the quality and the accuracy on created mental maps. Further I devote the attention to the used map symbols, and their graphic form, the subsequent creation of a new division of marks, specification of the problem inclusion and illustrative examples. I am engaged in the methods used generalization, direction, orientation and view on maps. Finally, note also several attractions that can be found in drawings.
