Contribution to the study of urban and suburban climate of Olomouc (occurrence of characteristic days depending on daily extreme temperatures)

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá analýzou výskytu charakteristických dní vázaných na denní extrémní teploty vzduchu (tropické, letní, mrazové, ledové a arktické dny) v urbánní a suburbánní zóně Olomouce v roce 2013 na základě dat ze stanic MESSO. Nejprve byl na jednotlivých stanicích zkoumán výskyt denních teplotních extrémů. V dalším kroku byl analyzován výskyt jednotlivých charakteristických dní v měsících jejich výskytu a v roce 2013 v rámci stanic MESSO. Použita byla absolutní a relativních četnost, aritmetický průměr, odchylka od průměru, průměrná odchylka, pro hodnocení normality také hodnoty horního a dolního kvartilu. Stejně tak bylo sledováno datum prvního a posledního výskytu těchto dní. Následně byly diskutovány možné příčiny rozložení četnosti výskytu těchto dní. Výsledky byly rovněž srovnány s výsledky z let 2010-2012.

Abstract:

This deals with analysis of occurrence of characteristic days depending on the value of daily minimum and maximum temperatures (tropical, summer, frost, ice and arctic days) in urban and suburban zone of Olomouc in 2013 on basis of data from the MESSO network. Firstly, occurrence of daily temperature extremes on each station was examined. The next step was to analyze the occurrence of characteristic days depending on daily extreme temperatures within the MESSO network in months of their occurrence and in 2013. For the analysis, absolute and relative frequency, arithmetic mean, departures from mean and mean deviation were used. Normality of occurrence of these days was evaluated by the values of lower and higher quartile. A date of the first and the last occurrence of these days was also analyzed. Consequently, possible causes of distribution of frequencies of occurrence were discussed. The results were also compared with the results from the years 2010-2012.
