Deep regression therapy as a possibility of personal growth

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na porozumění hlubinné regresní terapii jako možnosti osobnostního růstu. Hlubinná regresní terapie je považována za alternativní psychoterapii, která není podložena výzkumným šetřením. Teoretická část mapuje tři hlavní témata - vymezení psychoterapie na obecné úrovni poznání, hlubinnou regresní terapii a na motivaci lidského chování. Výzkumná část představuje metodologii výzkumu, jenž byla provedena prostřednictvím kvalitativního výzkumného šetření. Při plánování a vyhodnocení výzkumné práce jsem se inspirovala zakotvenou teorii. Data byla získaná prostřednictvím hloubkových polostrukturovaných rozhovorů. Výzkumný vzorek tvořili participanti, kteří podstoupili jedno sezení hlubinné regresní terapie. Cílem diplomové práce bylo zjistit, co vše vstoupilo do klientova procesu rozhodování při volbě podstoupit hlubinnou regresní terapii.

Abstract:

This master's thesis focuses on comprehending deep regression therapy as an option for personal growth. Deep regression therapy is thought of as an alternative form of psychotherapy that is not supported by scientific research. The theoretical part is concerned with three major topics: the definition of psychotherapy at the level of general recognition, deep regression therapy, and the motivations underlying human behavior. The analytical part presents the methodology of the research, which was carried out through a qualitative research inquiry. While developing and evaluating the research, grounded theory served as my inspiration. Concerning data collection, in-depth, semi-structured interviews were utilized. The research sample consisted of participants who had undergone one session of deep regression therapy in the past. The master's thesis aimed to determine which factors influenced participants' decisions to undergo deep regression therapy.
