Surface collections of Palaeolithic artefacts in the area of Dolní Kounice

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na problematiku povrchových sběrů paleolitických artefaktů na Dolnokounicku. Pozornost je soustředěna na procesy a postupy při sběru artefaktů, na paleolitické lokality a okolnosti vedoucí k nálezům, ale zejména na artefakty samotné, k čemuž by měla napomoci bohatá fotografická dokumentace. Předkládány jsou nálezy z dvaceti sedmi lokalit, na kterých již není povrchový průzkum možný či je z různých důvodů ztížený a je tedy v současnosti ukončen nebo na delší dobu přerušen. Nálezy z některých, především mladopaleolitických lokalit, doposud nebyly publikovány.

Abstract:

This Bachelor thesis aims at the issue of surface collection of Palaeolithic artefacts in the region of Dolní Kounice. Attention is focused on processes and procedures during the collection of artefacts, Palaeolithic localities, circumstances that lead to discoveries and the artefacts themselves; Here a rich photographic documentation is provided. Findings from twenty-seven Palaeolithic localities are presented where the surface collection has been rendered impossible or difficult for various reasons, therefore it was now ended or suspended for a longer period of time. Findings from certain localities, especially of the Upper Palaeolithic, have not been published yet.
