History and present of wine cellars in Vracov

Abstract:

Cílem mé bakalářské práce bylo popsat historii a současnost vinných sklepů ve Vracově. V první části se zabývám historií jihomoravského vinařství a vinařství ve městě Vracově. Dále se zaměřuji na popis společných vinných sklepů, podrobněji se věnuji společným sklepům v ulici Baráky. Zaměřuji se na zvyky a pravidla vinařů v nich hospodařících. V další části popisuji terénní výzkum ve vinných sklepech v Barákách, který potvrdil, že vinné sklepy v ulici Baráky vybudovali Novokřtěnci, neboli Habáni, kteří do Vracova přišli v 16. století.

Abstract:

The objective of this bachelor’s thesis is to describe a history and present situation of wine cellars in Vracov city. I focus on a history of a south Moravian winery and a winery in Vracov city in the first part. Then I describe collective wine cellars, especially those which are placed on Baráky street. Customs and rules of wine growers which housekeep in these cellar are introduced. The next part aims at a field research in wine cellars on Baráky street. which corfirmed that these wine cellars have have been built by the Newly Baptized ( or he Habans) who came to Vracov in 16th century.
