Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá vnitřním konfliktem náboženství a víry v komunitě severoamerických Indiánů a vlivem náboženství na změnu životních postojů a vnitřních vzorců. Práce je založena na analýze románů Tracks a The Last Report on the Miracles at Little No Horse od autorky Louise Erdrich a rozkrývá napětí mezi spiritualitou severoamerických Indiánů a křesťanstvím a jeho vliv na lidi žijící v rezervaci. Dále práce objasňuje základy spirituality a víry severoamerických Indiánů.

Abstract:

The thesis focuses on the inner clash of religions and beliefs in Native American community and on an impact of rewriting life patterns of native as well as white people in connection to religion. It is based on analysis of Lousie Erdrich´s novels Tracks and The Last Report on the Miracles at Little No Horse and uncovers the tension between native spirituality and Christianity and its influence on the people living on the reservation. Further, the thesis explains the basis of Native American spirituality.
