The Resistance of the Oxide Layer on the Surface of Aluminum Profiles in an Aggressive Environment

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na studium procesu dekorativní anodické oxidace hliníku a hliníkových slitin. Práce podrobně zkoumá různé metody dekorativního eloxování, včetně volby eloxačních roztoků, teplotních podmínek a parametrů elektrolytického procesu. V rámci této studie jsou popsány postupy předúpravy povrchu, dokončovacích operací, analýzy mechanických a chemických vlastností výsledných povrchů, a to s důrazem na odolnost vůči opotřebení, korozní odolnosti a stálobarevnost barvených oxidických vrstev. Experimentální část práce zahrnuje porovnání mikrostrukturních charakteristik před vystavením a po vystavení profilů agresivnímu prostředí v korozní komoře. Cílem této části je posoudit stabilitu a účinnost vytvořených oxidických vrstev za reálných podmínek provozu, zejména ve vztahu k odolnosti vůči koroznímu působení.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis focuses on the study of the decorative anodic oxidation process of aluminum and aluminum alloys. It thoroughly examines various methods of decorative anodizing, including the selection of anodizing solutions, temperature conditions, and electrolytic process parameters. Within this study, surface pretreatment procedures, finishing operations, and analyses of mechanical and chemical properties of the resulting surfaces are described in detail, with an emphasis on wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and color stability of the colored oxide layers. The experimental part of the thesis includes comparing the microstructural characteristics before and after exposure of profiles to aggressive environments in a corrosion chamber. The aim of this section is to assess the stability and effectiveness of the created oxide layers under real operating conditions, particularly concerning resistance to corrosion.
