Impact of organisational culture on corporate performance

Abstract:

This thesis examines the impact of organizational culture on employee performance, focusing on how cultural elements influence behavior and organizational effectiveness. The research is divided into two parts: a literature review and a practical analysis. The literature review explores the definitions, types, and theories of organizational culture, including Schein’s Three-Level Model, Hofstede’s Cultural Dimensions, and Denison’s Organizational Culture Model. The practical part involves a quantitative survey conducted within a selected company to assess employee perceptions of organizational culture and its effect on performance. Data analysis includes Cronbach’s alpha for reliability testing, ordinal logistic regression, and correlation analysis. The findings reveal how different cultural types impact employee behavior and performance. This study highlights the role of leadership in shaping organizational culture and its influence on organizational success. The results provide recommendations for companies aiming to optimize their culture for improved employee performance. Ultimately, this research contributes to the understanding of the link between organizational culture and corporate performance.
