The attitude of paramedics to dying and death.

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce na téma: "Postoj zdravotnických záchranářů k umírání a smrti" popisuje stresové a motivační faktory v práci zdravotnických záchranářů. Práce je rozdělena na část teoretickou a průzkumnou. V teoretické části nahlížíme do historie a snažíme se o přiblížení rituálů konkrétních národností spojené s umíráním a pohřbíváním. Zaměřujeme se na umírajícího dospělého a dítě, na jejich možnosti péče a prostředí kde umírají. Dále se zabýváme i často diskutovanými tématy jako je euthanazie a dystanazie. Průzkumná část obsahuje šetření zaměřující se na postoj zdravotnických záchranářů k umírání a smrti v PNP a NP, na to co zdravotnické záchranáře nejvíce frustruje při péči o umírajícího v PNP a NP, a zda zdravotničtí záchranáři mají zájem o další vzdělávání v oblasti paliativní péče. Získané výsledky jsou vyhodnoceny a zpracovány do tabulek a grafů.

Abstract:

The topic of this bachelor diploma work is: "Paramedic's attitude to death and dying." It describes stress and motivational factors for paramedics in their job. This Bachelor diploma work is separated into theoretical part and practical part. The theoretical part is about searching in history where we try to explain any rituals of specific nationalities which are connected with death and bury. We are focused on dying of adults or children and care options and the surroundings where they are dying. It also deals with very often discussed issues as Euthanasia and Dysthanasia are. The practical part of this Bachelor diploma work contains research about attitudes to dying and death among Paramedics who works in Pre-hospital Emergency Care or at Urgent Department. We try to find what is the most frustrating about taking care of dying patients for them. Furthermore we are determining if Paramedics are interested in another education in palliative care. Results we got are processed into graphs and tabels.
