Algoritmy pre segmentáciu a sledovanie pohybu sú široko využívané v biomedicíne pri spracovaní mikroskopických snímkov populácií živých buniek. Ich vývoj a automatická validácia sú predmetom aktívneho výskumu. Segmentation and tracking algorithms are widely used in biomedicine when processing microscopic images of live cell populations. Their development, as well as automatic validation, are a subject of active research.
