Musical etudes in colours - Artistic means in music education

Abstract:

Diplomová práce s názvem Hudební etudy v barvách – výtvarný prostředek edukační činnosti v hudbě se zabývá propojením výtvarného umění s hudbou pomocí studie uměleckých odvětví a umělců, jenž se specifickému výtvarnému ztvárnění hudby věnují. Představuje hudbu a výtvarné umění ve 20. století ve tvorbě hnutí Fluxus, popisuje sound art, zkoumá a objasňuje pojmy grafická hudba, hudební grafika, grafické partitury a akustická kresba, jež dokládá na tvorbě umělců. Rozvíjí obecná pravidla pro výtvarné ztvárnění hudby, jež byla koncipována v autorčině bakalářské práci Barevná hudba, a převádí je jako edukační činnosti do výuky. Na tomto základě vzniká cyklus hudebních etud dle barevné notace, jenž má uplatnění ve výuce výtvarné a hudební výchovy, ale také čtyři obrazy, jež představují převedení hudební partitury do barev skrze hudební analýzu, která rovněž slouží jako prostředek komparace vybraných skladeb.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis titled Musical etudes in colours - Artistic means in music education deals with the connection of fine arts with music through the study of arts and artists who specialise in the specific artistic rendering of music. It presents 20th century music and fine arts in the work of the Fluxus movement, describes sound art, examines and clarifies the concepts of graphic notation, graphic music, graphic scores and acoustic drawing, which it demonstrates in the work of artists. It develops general rules for the artistic rendering of music, which were conceived in the author's bachelor's thesis Colourful Music, and converts them into educational activities used in teaching. On this foundation, the author creates a cycle of musical etudes according to colour notation, which may be applied in the art and music education, along with four paintings, which represent the conversion of a musical score into colours through musical analysis, and also serve as a means of comparing selected compositions.
