Implementation of Industry 4.0 - Digitization in Production Systems in Business Practice

Abstract:

Průmysl 4.0 ve výrobě spočívá v posunu manuálních a polo automatizovaných výrobních procesů do vyšší míry autonomie, která je charakteristická minimalizací lidské práce společně s využitím digitálního sběru dat a jejich ukládáním do databází. Zejména práce s daty týkajících se výrobního procesu přináší spolu s využitím statistických metod výbornou příležitost pro optimalizaci a zvýšení kvality výroby a také snížení času potřebného pro výrobu. Průmysl 4.0 tímto poskytuje výrobním společnostem možnosti efektivnější výroby, která snižuje jejich náklady na výrobu a tím i cenu konečného výrobku, což může být promítnuto do ceny, popřípadě do marže společností. Diplomová práce je zaměřena na implementací prvků Průmyslu 4.0 ve výrobní společnosti, která se zabývá dodávkami elektronických komponent pro výrobce automobilů. V první části diplomové práce je stručně popsána historie a vývoj průmyslu od průmyslové revoluce až po Průmysl 4.0 a také nástroje a metody Průmyslu 4.0. V druhé části diplomové práce je provedena analýza konkrétní výrobní linky, návrh optimalizace této výrobní linky a samotná realizace navrhovaných opatření. Cílem diplomové práce je vyhodnocení přínosu implementace prvků průmyslu 4.0 ve výrobním závodě. Toto vyhodnocení je provedeno zejména s ohledem na finanční náklady tzn. na investici do optimalizace, výrobní náklady před a po optimalizaci a výpočet návratnosti investice.

Abstract:

Industry 4.0 in manufacturing involves shifting manual and semi-automated production processes to a higher level of autonomy, characterized by the minimization of human labor along with the use of digital data collection and storage in databases. The work with data related to the production process, combined with the use of statistical methods, provides an excellent opportunity for optimizing and improving the quality of production and reducing the time needed for production. Industry 4.0 therefore provides manufacturing companies with the opportunity for more efficient production, which reduces their production costs and the price of the final product, which can be reflected in the price or margin of the companies. The final thesis is focused on the implementation of Industry 4.0 elements in a manufacturing company that supplies electronic components to automobile manufacturers. The first part of the final thesis briefly describes the history and development of industry from the Industrial Revolution to Industry 4.0 and also the tools and methods of Industry 4.0. The second part of the final thesis carries out an analysis of a specific production line, a proposal for the optimization of this production line and the implementation of the proposed measures. The aim of the final thesis is to evaluate the benefit of implementing Industry 4.0 elements in the manufacturing plant. This evaluation is carried out primarily in terms of financial costs, i.e. investment in optimization, production costs before and after optimization, and calculation of the return on investment.
