Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce je demonstrovat jak Winston Churchill využil politiku appeasement pro své osobní cíle a ukázat jeho osobnost z pohledu, který není tak znám, ale ovlivnil jeho postoje stejně jak jako jeho postoj k politice appeasement, kterou následně využil k vybudování jeho nezlomného postavení a kariéry jako politika v druhé světové válce. Práce take kriticky analyzuje jeho pohnutky a myšlenky, které ne vždy byly veřejně populární avšak ovlivnily jeho život stejně jako úspěšná rozhodnutí, která vedly k jeho jmenování sirem.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to reveal how Winston Churchill used the policy of appeasement for his own personal goals and show the part of his personality for which he is not known today but greatly influenced his whole life and his attitude to wars. The thesis includes the ideas that formed his attitude to the policy of appeasement during his whole life and how he used the policy of appeasement to build his invincible reputation and career as a politician in the Second World War. The thesis also wants to critically analyse his motives and ideas that not always were popular but influenced his life along with the successful decisions that led to his appointment of Sir.
