Kinesiotherapy in osteoarthrotic impairment of the shoulder joint

Abstract:

Tato práce pojednává o artróze ramenního kloubu a ovlivnění této nemoci pomocí kinezioterapie. Teoretická část shrnuje informace o kineziologii a biomechanice pletence ramenního, dále popisuje samotné onemocnění s následnými možnostmi vyšetření a léčby. Praktická část je zpracovaná formou kazuistiky, kde jsou sledováni dva pacienti v krátkodobém a v dlouhodobém časovém horizontu. Z výsledků kazuistik bylo zjištěno, že kinezioterapie je vhodný léčebný prostředek k udržení a zlepšení stavu pacientů s artrotickým ramenem. Snížením reflexních změn lze zvýšit rozsah pohybu, čímž pacientům zajistíme zlepšení kvality života.

Abstract:

This thesis discusses arthrosis of glenohumeral joint and possibilities of influencing this disease by kinesiotherapy. The theoretical part provides a summary about kinesiotherapy and the biomechanics of the pectoral girdle. Further, the thesis describes the disease itself and the possibilities for diagnosis and treatment.The practical section takes a form of a case history. Two patients were observed on short- and long-term basis. Based on the case histories it was concluded that kinesiotherapy is a suitable treatment modality to maintain and improve the condition of patients affected by an osteoarthritic glenohumeral joint. By addressing the reflex changes, the range of movement can be increased, thus increasing the patients' quality of life.
