The Beginnings of Israel in Czech Proses

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá analýzou narativu u vybraných próz českých autorů, které zpracovávají téma vzniku či počátku Státu Izrael. Jde o díla Vítr z hor (1991) a Vepři ve při (1993) Oty B. Krause, V zemi zaslíbené? (1986) Josefa Šebesty, Čelem proti čelu (1947) Františka Gottlieba a Miláček (1969) Arnošta Lustiga. Vznik či vydávání jednotlivých textů od 40. do 90. let 20. století umožňují nahlédnout na to, jak se v daných dekádách proměňovaly vypravěčské strategie v souvislosti s proměnou politicko-společenské situace našeho státu a politických vazeb ke státu Izrael. Knihy se tak zdají být reprezentacemi dobových diskurzů, včetně akcentu na jejich akční potenciál, který měl dobové čtenáře v prezentovaném myšlení utvrzovat či je naopak vést k zamýšlení se nad popisovaným děním.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis is focused on the analysis of the narrative of books Vítr z hor (1991) and Vepři ve při (1993) by Ota B. Kraus, V zemi zaslíbené? (1986) by Josef Šebesta, Čelem proti čelu (1974) by František Gottlieb and Miláček (1969) by Arnošt Lustig. These books are about the creation or beginning of the State of Israel. The creation or publication of individual text from the 1940s to the 1990s provides insight into the change of narrative strategies in those decades in connection with the change in the political and social situation of our state and political ties to the State of Israel. The books seem to be representations of contemporary discourses, including an accent on their action potential, which was intended to confirm contemporary readers in the presented thinking, or, on the contrary, lead them to reflect on the events.
