Thermogravimetrical Study ZnO on Thermal Degradation of Polypropylen

Abstract:

V rámci předložené studie byl otestován materiál s PP matricí a ZnO plnivem pomocí ter-mogravimetrické analýzy, zda nedochází k nežádoucí interakci mezi matricí a plnivem bě-hem přípravy materiálu nebo při jeho tepelném namáhání. Bylo zjištěno, že použitý typ ZnO lze do použité matrice dobře zamíchat, bez negativních projevů při zpracování. V průběhu termické degradace se nepodařilo najít rozdíl mezi chováním čisté matrice a matrice s plnivem. Použitý ZnO neovlivnil termodegradaci PP v inertní atmosféře dusíku při žádné z nastavených rychlostí, a ani vysokorozlišující termogravimetrická analýza neodhalila něja-ký příspěvek ZnO. Pro další výzkum se doporučuje pokračovat v termooxidačních testech a v analýze materiálů, které byly vystaveny zrychleným testům stárnutí.

Abstract:

The study present results of testing of a material with PP matrix and ZnO filler performed with the help of thermogravimetric analysis. The question was whether there is any adverse effect of the filler on the matrix during processing of the material or during its thermal deg-radation. It was found that the used ZnO can be easily compounded into the used PP ma-trix without any manifested undesirable effects in processing. The thermal degradation of the PP in inert atmosphere is not influenced by th ZnO addition at all. It was confirmed at all tested heating rates. Moreover, the high resolution thermogravimetry did not reveal any difference between matrix and composite degradation too. According to the obtained re-sults, i tis suggested to continue with a termooxidative study and in testing of the materials which were exposed to the accelerated aging tests.
