Abstract:

Bakalářská diplomová práce „A. W. N. Pugin a jeho estetická východiska“ pojednává o anglickém architektovi, designerovi a malíři Augustu Welby Northmore Puginovi a jeho snaze o změnu umění a kultury 19. století. Zabývá se jeho životem, literárními a uměleckými díly či jeho spoluprací s ostatními umělci. Dále pojednává o Puginových estetických východiscích jeho tvorby, inspiraci a následném vlivu na tehdejší společnost, umělce a budoucí generace.

Abstract:

The bachelor’s diploma thesis „A. W. N. Pugin and his Aesthetic Principles“ deals with an English architect, designer and artist Augustus Welby Northmore Pugin and his efforts to change art and culture of 19th century. The thesis concerns Pugin’s very short life, literature, works of art and his cooperation with other artists. It also focuses on Pugin’s aesthetics principles in his works, his inspiration and consequent influence on the then society, artists and future generations.
