Banking supervision and regulation

Abstract:

An objective of my bachelor’s theses is to bring a view to the problem of the banking supervision and regulation as a whole, its gradual integration in the united banking supervision in the context of the European Union legislation and its implementation in the legislation of the Slovak Republic. The thesis is comprised of three following chapters. The first part familiarizes with the core and principle of the banking regulation and supervision, it explains its importance from the viewpoint of the NBS as a sole regulating and supervising authority in Slovakia, the second part describes legislative conditions of the Slovak banking sector and the third one deals with the current situation and prospects of the banking supervision and regulation in terms of the Slovak Republic.

Abstract:

Cieľom mojej bakalárskej práce je priblížiť problematiku bankového dohľadu a regulácie ako celku, jeho postupnú integráciu na jednotný bankový dohľad v súčinnosti s legislatívou Európskej únie a jej implementáciu do legislatívy Slovenskej republiky. Práca je zložená z troch na seba nadväzujúcich kapitol. Prvá časť oboznamuje s podstatou a princípom bankovej regulácie a dohľadu, vysvetľuje jeho dôležitosť z pohľadu NBS ako jediného regulujúceho a dohliadajúceho subjektu na Slovensku, druhá časť popisuje legislatívne podmienky bankovníctva na Slovensku a tretia časť pojednáva o súčasnom stave a perspektíve bankového dohľadu a regulácie v podmienkach Slovenskej republiky.
