Project of Management of Foreign Exchange Risks in the Selected Company Considering the Impact of the Czech National Bank Foreign Exchange Intervention

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se věnuje problematice řízení devizových rizik. Cílem práce je vy-hodnotit současný stav řízení těchto rizik ve vybrané společnosti a s ohledem na devizovou pozici navrhnout vhodný přístup a nástroje k zajištění tohoto rizika. První část práce vyme-zuje teoretický základ nezbytný k porozumění devizovým trhům a možnostem řízení devi-zového rizika. Praktická část obsahuje makroekonomickou analýzu vybraných ukazatelů a shrnuje dopad devizových intervencí České národní banky na měnový kurz. Na základě těchto dvou částí byla provedena analýza vybraných nástrojů k řízení devizových rizik a poté byl vypracován projekt, který navrhuje vhodný způsob zajištění devizových rizik pro vybranou společnost.

Abstract:

This thesis is focused on the issue of management of foreign exchange risk. The main goal of the thesis is to evaluate the current state of management of these risks in particular com-pany and to propose an appropriate approach and tools to ensure that risks with regard to foreign exchange position. The first part includes the theoretical basis which is necessary to understand the foreign exchange markets and the options of foreign exchange risk man-agement. Second part comprises an analysis of selected macroeconomic indicators and summarizes the impact of Czech National Bank's foreign exchange interventions. On the basis of these two parts, the analysis of selected instruments managing the foreign ex-change risk was accomplished, and the project was prepared to propose suitable method of ensuring the exchange risks for selected company.
