The competitive environment in the hotel industry in the selected region

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na charakteristiku konkurenčního prostředí hotelových zařízení v Libereckém kraji. Práce je rozdělena na tři části, teoretickou, praktickou a návrhovou. První část obsahuje teoretické informace vycházející z odborné literatury a vztahující se k tématu práce, tj. poznatky z oblasti cestovního ruchu (cestovní ruch v České republice po roce 1989, faktory ovlivňující cestovní ruch), definice a popis podnikatelského prostředí s důrazem na mikro a makrookolí podniku. V neposlední řadě je zde vymezen pojem konkurence a analytické metody používané k jejímu hodnocení. Praktická část se nejprve zaměřuje na charakteristiku podmínek rozvoje cestovního ruchu v Libereckém kraji. Následuje popis konkurenčního prostředí hromadných ubytovacích zařízení a hotelových zařízení Libereckého kraje. Důležitou částí práce je rozbor konkurenčního prostředí hotelových zařízení v tomto regionu s využitím metody PEST, Porterova modelu pěti sil a benchmarkingu. Návrhová část obsahuje stručné závěry vztahující se k úrovni konkurence ve sledované oblasti.

Abstract:

The Bachelor’s Dissertation is focused on the characteristics of the competitive environment of hotel facilities in the Liberecký Region. The work is divided into three parts: theoretical, practical and final. The first part contains theoretical information based on the literature and related to the topic of work, it means there is knowledge in the field of tourism (tourism in the Czech Republic after 1989, factors affecting tourism), the definition and description of the business environment with an emphasis on micro and macroenvironment of companies. Finally, there is a definition of the concept of competition and analytical methods used for its evaluation. The practical part is focused on the characteristics of conditions for the development of tourism in the Liberecký Region. The following are definitions of the competitive environment of collective accommodation establishments and hotel facilities in the Liberecký Region. An important part of this work is to analyze the competitive environment of hotel facilities in the Liberecký Region using the method of PEST, Porter's five forces model and Benchmarking. The final part provides brief conclusions related to the level of competition in a given area.
