High-speed regional terminals - approaches, transport roles, situation in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá regionálními terminály na vysokorychlostních železnicích, protože toto téma začíná být stále aktuálnější i v České republice. První část práce je věnována regionálním terminálům ve Francii, Španělsku, v Německu a v Belgii. Pro tyto terminály byl zjišťován počet obyvatel v jejich nejbližším okolí, počet vlaků, které zde zastavují a další údaje, abychom si mohli udělat ucelený obraz o jejich fungování. V druhé části se věnujeme plánovaným regionálním terminálům v České republice, konkrétně v Kraji Vysočina. Pro které byl opět zjišťován počet obyvatel v jejich nejbližším okolí a pro vybraný terminál s názvem Vysočina pak byl zkoumán vliv terminálu na dopravní dostupnost Prahy a Brna z jeho nejbližšího okolí. Také byl proveden kvalifikovaný odhad počtu cestujících využívajících daný terminál. Díky těmto údajům bylo zjištěno například, že plánované regionální terminály v Česku se příliš neliší od těch v Západní Evropě.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is dedicated to regional terminals on high-speed rail, because this topic begins to be more actual in the Czech Republic too. The first part of this work is about regional terminals in France, Spain, Germany and Belgium. For these stations was detected population in the immediate vicinity, number of trains that stop there and other information, so that we can make a comprehensive picture of how they work. In the second part is about planned regional terminals in the Czech Republic, specifically in Vysočina region. For these was also detected population in the immediate vicinity and for selecetd terminal called Vysočina was analysed its influence on travel time between Prague or Brno and the cities near the terminal. The qualified estimate of the number of passengers, which will be used this terminal was executed too. Thanks to these data was dedicated that planned regional terminals in Czechia are not too much different from those in Western Europe.
