Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá postoji papežů k otázce lidských práv ve světě. Jejím hlavním cílem je porovnání přístupů Jana Pavla II. a Benedikta XVI. Nejprve rozebírá katolická východiska pro lidskoprávní problematiku. Dále se věnuje popisu jednotlivých papežů a rozboru jejich encyklik, veřejných projevů a intervencí do konkrétních problémů. This bachelor thesis deals with papal attitudes to the issue of human rights in the world. Its main aim is to compare the approaches of John Paul II. and Benedict XVI. First it describes catholic teaching concerning human rights in general. Then it explores individual popes and analyses their encyclicals, public speeches and interventions to specific problem.
