Malware and comparison of antivirus programs

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce zabývající se typem nebezpečí v počítačovém světě - škodlivé programy a jejich druhy alias malware. S tímto druhem softwaru se může setkat každý uživatel počítače, tudíž je to celkem rozsáhlý a podstatný problém a každý uživatel počítače by s tím měl být obeznámen.V teoretické části bude nejdříve představen a charakterizován pojem kyberprostor, kde se veškeré dění, o kterém bude řeč, odehrává. Následně se práce zaměří na historii malware od úplného počátku a jeho rozdělení z více pohledů. Poslední část teoretické části je věnována prevenci, ochraně a následkům nákazy malware. V praktické části bude provedeno srovnání vybraných antivirových produktů, a to jak českých tak světových, placených či bezplatných. Pro porovnání produktů budou stanovena kritéria, kde každé bude mít svojí významovou váhu. Výstupem komparace bude přehled, jaký antivirový program je nejspolehlivější a nejlepší volbou pro ochranu uživatelského počítače z hlediska stanovených kritérií.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is dealing with the type of danger in the computer world - malicious programs and their types alias malware. With this type of software, every user of a computer can be attacked, therefore it is a very extensive and substantial problem, which every computer user should be familiar with.The theoretical part will introduce and characterize the concept of cyberspace, where all events that will be discussed later are taking place. Subsequently, the work will focus on the history of malware from the very beginning and it’s division from multiple perspectives. The last part of the theoretical part is devoted to prevention, protection and consequences of malware infection. In the practical part there will be a comparison of selected antivirus products, either domestic producst, foreign, paid or free to use. For the product comparison, criteria will be set where each will have it’s semantic weight. The result of the comparison will be an overview of which antivirus program is the most reliable and best choice for protecting a user's computer in terms of the selected criteria.
