Physiotherapy in a patient with residual left-sided paresis of diaphragm and brachial plexus lesion

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce má za úkol teoretický popis struktur a dějů souvisejících s poškozením u mého probanda, praktické zacílení na zlepšení funkčního aspektu bránice a brachiálního plexu. Teoretická část je zaměřena na anatomický a funkční popis bránice, hrudníku a pažní pleteně. Včetně fyziologie dýchání, možnosti poškození brachiálního plexu a vybraných metod a technik k ovlivnění dýchání a mobility plexu. Praktická část vychází z podrobného fyzioterapeutického vyšetření probanda a vyšetření pomocí zobrazovacích metod jako je skiaskopie, CT vyšetření a měření dechových objemů a kapacit pomocí spirometrie. Dále podrobný kineziologický rozbor a následná terapie, kde byly využívány prvky různých metod jako jsou Periferní neuromuskulární facilitace nebo Metoda reflexní lokomoce dle Vojty.

Abstract:

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to describe the structures and processes related to the damage of my proband, practical aim to improve the functional aspect of the diaphragm and brachial plexus. The theoretical part is focused on anatomical and functional description of the diaphragm, chest and humerus. It includes respiratory physiology, the possibility of brachial plexus damage and selected methods and techniques to affect respiration and mobility of the plexus. The practical part is based on a detailed physiotherapeutic examination of the proband, and examination using imaging methods such as fluoroscopy, CT examination and measurement of tidal volumes and capacities by means of spirometry. Furthermore, there is detailed kinesiological analysis and subsequent therapy using elements of various methods such as Peripheral Neuromuscular Facilitation or Reflex Locomotion Method by Vojta.
