Czech Public Servant and His Values (focusing on Local Social Security Administration and Municipal Office in Žďár nad Sázavou)

Abstract:

Předkládaná diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou českého úředníka a jeho hodnot. První část je zaměřena na obecnou charakteristiku a vymezení pojmů úředníka, byrokracie, organizace a hodnot. Druhá část obsahuje popis průzkumu pomocí anonymního dotazníku, stanovené cíle a hypotézy, výběr výzkumného vzorku, postup zpracování informací a vyhodnocení výsledků. Cílem diplomové práce je vyjít v teoretické rovině z klasického Weberova pojetí byrokracie, porovnat ho s některými kritiky ideálního typu a ve výzkumné části charakterizovat soukromě zastávané vybrané hodnoty českých úředníků a ověřit, zda jsou v souladu s posláním úřadů, ve kterých pracují.

Abstract:

My diploma thesis discusses the topic of the Czech clerks and their values. The first part focuses on the general characteristic and there are the clerk, bureaucracy, organization and values mentioned. The second one is devoted to the describtion of research with the help of anonymnous questionnaire, set aims and hypothesis, the process of choice of respondents, the processing of information and final results. The aim of the diploma thesis was to result from classical Weber´s conception of bureaucracy then compare it to certain critics of the ideal type in the practical part and to find out if the chosen private values of the Czech clerks are in agreement with the vision of institutions where they work in the research part.
