Work deals with mortgage loans and its availability in Slovakia. The first chapter focuses on the theoretical definition of banking with an emphasis on mortgage banking and mortgage loan. The second chapter analyzes the mortgage loans in the Slovak Republic and the availability to the client in selected commercial banks. Bakalárska práca sa zaoberá hypotekárnym úverom a jeho dostupnosťou na Slovensku. Prvá kapitola je zameraná na teoretické vymedzenie bankovníctva s dôrazom na hypotekárne bankovníctvo a hypotekárny úver. Druhá kapitola analyzuje hypotekárny úver v podmienkach Slovenskej republiky a jeho dostupnosť zo strany klienta vo vybraných komerčných bankách.
