Hlavním cílem disertační práce bylo zpřístupnit doposud nepublikovanou a neznámou korespondenci Roberta Smetany s Bedřichem Václavkem. Jádrem práce je kritická edice korespondence. Ta upozorňuje, mimo jiné, na vědeckou spolupráci obou mužů, která vedla k vydání edice České světské písně zlidovělé. Abstract:
The main aim of the dissertation was to make available the previously unpublished and unknown correspondence of Robert Smetana to his colleague Bedřich Václavk. The core of the work is the critical edition of the correspondence.
