Diglossia in Maghreb - History and Present
Abstract:
The diploma thesis focuses on the application of the concept of diglossia in Maghreb (Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco). It deals with three types of diglossia which occur in those countries. Firstly, it analyses the diglossia between the Berber languages and Classical Arabic, then between dialectal Arabic and Classical Arabic and finally between Arabic and French.
Abstract:
Cílem diplomové práce je aplikovat koncept diglosie na území Maghrebu (Alžírsko, Tunisko, Maroko). Zabývá se třemi typy diglossie, které se vyskytují v těchto zemích. Nejprve zkoumá diglosii mezi berberskými jazyky a klasickou arabštinou, poté diglosii mezi dialektální a klasickou arabštinou a nakonec diglosii mezi arabštinou a francouzštinou.
