The living with attendant social services provided for the elderly

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá tématem představ a očekávání seniorů závislých na pomoci druhé osoby o zajištění intervence formou bydlení s doprovodnou sociální službou. Cílem této práce je zodpovědět hlavní výzkumnou otázku, která zní: „Jaké představy a očekávání spojují senioři závislí na pomoci druhé osoby se zajištěním pomoci formou bydlení s doprovodnou sociální službou ve vybrané lokalitě?“ Diplomová práce je rozdělena do tří hlavních částí. V první části práce jsou teoreticky vymezeny klíčové pojmy této práce, které jsou východiskem pro další zkoumání. Ve druhé části práce je popsán výběr výzkumné strategie, kterou je kvalitativní metoda, a náležitosti spojené s realizací výzkumu včetně výběru jednotky zkoumání a zjišťování, volby metody sběru dat a objasnění operacionalizace dílčích výzkumných otázek. Předmětem analytické části je rozbor a interpretace zjištěných skutečností týkajících se dopadu závislosti na životní situaci seniora, povědomí seniorů o nabídce sociálních služeb a o možnostech propojení bydlení a sociálních služeb. V závěru této části je na základě získaných zjištění zodpovězena hlavní výzkumná otázka. Ze zjištění vyplývá, že senioři závislí na pomoci druhé osoby, nezávisle na individuální informovanosti o dostupných variantách bydlení s doprovodnou sociální službou, považují za nejvhodnější variantu pomoci realizovanou skrze bydlení s doprovodnou sociální službou přijímání pomoci v prostředí vlastního domova při využití neformálních i formálních zdrojů pomoci.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the topic of concepts and expectations of the elderly dependent on another person’s aid when trying to ensure their own living accompanied with social services. The aim of the thesis is to answer the main research query which sounds: „What are the concepts and expectations of the elderly dependent on another person’s aid connected with when looking for assistance with their own living with attendant social services in the chosen area?“ The thesis consists of three main parts. The key notions leading to further research are theoretically defined in the first part. The second part covers the description of the choice of the research strategy which is qualitative research method, the requirements connected with putting the research into practice including the choice of the research unit, the choice of the method of data collecting. And last but not least clarification of individual research questions. The subject of the analytic section is the analysis and the interpretation of the found facts concerning the effect on the senior person’s life, their awareness of the social services offer and possibilities of combining their own living with diffent social services. Based on the findings the main research question is answered in the end of this part. Due to the research we have arrived at the conclusion that the elderly dependent on another person’s aid, irrespective of their personal knowledge about the availability of living with attendant social services – consider as the most convenient form of aid accepting it in their own housing environment by means of formal and informal means of assistance.
